  2. Slice the zucchini into rounds and set aside.
  3. In a pot, sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the pot and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Layer half of the zucchini rounds in a baking dish, then pour half of the tomato sauce mixture over the zucchini.
  6. Repeat with the remaining zucchini and tomato sauce mixture.
  7. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the zucchini is tender and the cheese is melted and golden.
  9. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
