Cut the submarine bread rolls in half lengthwise.

Scoop out the flesh of the avocado and mash it in a bowl.

Squeeze the juice of the lime into the mashed avocado and mix well.

Dice the tomato, finely chop the red onion, cilantro, and jalapeno pepper.

Add the diced tomato, chopped red onion, cilantro, and jalapeno pepper to the mashed avocado mixture.

Season with salt and black pepper, and mix well.

Spread the guacamole mixture evenly on both halves of the submarine bread rolls.

Place lettuce leaves on one half of the bread roll.

Close the sandwich by placing the other half of the bread roll on top.
