  4. Add cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  5. Add lentils, vegetable broth, diced tomatoes, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25 minutes or until lentils are tender.
  7. Remove bay leaves and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
