Fried rice is believed to have originated in China around 4000 years ago and was initially created as a way to use up leftover rice.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 35 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.

Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add sesame oil to the other side.

Add cooked rice to the pan and mix well with the vegetables.

Season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

Garnish with chopped green onions.
