Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, coconut oil, almond milk, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the walnuts.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
