  2. In a large bowl, mash the cooked lentils and walnuts together.
  3. Grate the carrots and finely chop the onion and garlic. Add them to the lentil and walnut mixture.
  4. Stir in the oats, flaxseed meal, tomato paste, tamari or soy sauce, smoked paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan and press it down firmly.
  6. Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
