Peel and slice the carrots.

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the carrots. Cook for 5 minutes until slightly tender.

Drain the carrots and return them to the saucepan.

Add the butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the saucepan. Stir well to coat the carrots.

Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are glazed and tender.

Remove from heat and let the carrots rest for 5 minutes before serving.
