Thai-style Basil Rice, also known as ‘Pad Krapow’, is a popular street food dish in Thailand and is often enjoyed with a fried egg on top.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and chopped bird's eye chili to the wok and stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add diced tofu and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned.

Push the tofu to one side of the wok and add cooked jasmine rice to the other side.

Drizzle soy sauce over the rice and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Add Thai basil leaves, salt, and sugar to the wok and stir-fry for another minute.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
