Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food made from fermented soybeans and is a great source of plant-based protein.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a food processor, blend tempeh, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, flaxseed meal, soy sauce, nutritional yeast, parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Optional: Pan-fry the baked meatballs in a skillet for 5 minutes to add extra crispiness.

Let the meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
