  1. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes, pears, and onion.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the sweet potatoes, pears, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add vegetable stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Blend the soup until smooth using an immersion blender or regular blender.
  6. Return the soup to the pot and stir in coconut milk. Heat over low heat until warmed through.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
