  1. Rinse the black beans and soak them in water overnight. Drain and set aside.

  4. Add the soaked black beans and vegetable stock to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the beans are tender.
  5. Use an immersion blender or a regular blender to puree the soup until smooth.
  6. Stir in lime juice and salt. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve the soup hot, garnished with cilantro, sour cream, and tortilla chips.
