  4. In a mortar and pestle, pound the garlic and chilies into a paste.
  5. Add the lime juice, fish sauce, palm sugar, tamarind pulp, and salt to the mortar and mix well.
  6. Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss until well combined.
  7. Let the salad rest for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
