Cut the tempeh into small cubes.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Add the tempeh cubes and cook until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, lime juice, salt, sugar, and water.

Pour the sauce over the cooked tempeh and stir well.

Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
