Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Trim the ends of the asparagus spears.

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

Place the asparagus spears on a baking sheet and drizzle the garlic-lemon mixture over them.

Toss the asparagus to evenly coat them with the mixture.

Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and lightly charred.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
