Boil, peel, and mash the potatoes.

Finely chop the onion, green chili, ginger, and garlic.

In a mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chili, ginger, garlic, cilantro, bread crumbs, cornstarch, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well.

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into chops.

Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the chops until golden brown on both sides.

Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
