Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Let them splutter.

Add curry leaves and sauté for a minute.

Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes become soft.

Add tamarind pulp and mix well.

Remove from heat and let it cool.
