Trim the tough ends of the asparagus and place them on a baking sheet.

Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and toss to coat.

Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and lemon zest.

Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and slightly charred.

While the asparagus is roasting, toast the almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown.

Remove the asparagus from the oven and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
