Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Saute until golden brown.

Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add string beans and cook for 5 minutes.

Cover the pan and let it cook for another 10 minutes or until the beans are tender.
