Peel and boil the sweet potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them in a large bowl.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.

Add the dry ingredients to the mashed sweet potatoes, along with the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
