Rinse the lentils under cold water and drain.

In a large pot, add the lentils and water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel and dice the carrot, sweet potato, onion, and garlic cloves.

After 10 minutes, add the diced vegetables, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to the pot.

Stir well and simmer for another 20 minutes or until the lentils and vegetables are tender.

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Serve warm, garnished with fresh cilantro.
