Peel and cut the sweet potato into bite-sized pieces.

Cut the pineapple into small chunks.

In a pot, add water and bring it to a boil. Add the sweet potato and cook until tender.

In a separate pan, heat the coconut milk over medium heat. Add the red chili, turmeric powder, salt, and sugar. Stir well.
