Lentil Pate With Cumin and Turmeric
Lentils are a great source of plant-based protein and are often used as a meat substitute in vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Rinse the lentils under cold water and drain.

In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the lentils and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside.

In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic cloves, and cook until softened.

Add the cooked lentils, ground cumin, ground turmeric, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well to combine.

Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor. Add lemon juice and blend until smooth.

Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Transfer the lentil pate to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Serve with crackers, bread, or vegetable sticks.
