  3. Add chopped onion, ginger, and garlic cloves to the pan. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  4. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Stir well to coat the rice with the oil and spices.
  5. Add turmeric, salt, cashews, and raisins to the pan. Stir well.
