  4. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the tomato mixture to the pot of lentils and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
  7. Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
