In a large mixing bowl, combine vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, vegetable broth, tomato paste, liquid smoke, and water.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes elastic.

Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Shape the dough into a log or desired shape and wrap it tightly in aluminum foil.
