  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  5. Return the mixture to the saucepan and add butter.
  6. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool.
  8. Transfer the hot pepper butter to sterilized jars and seal.
  9. Process the jars in a water bath canner for 10 minutes.
  10. Allow the jars to cool completely before storing in a cool, dark place.
