Drain and rinse the chickpeas.

In a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, diced red bell pepper, grated carrot, diced cucumber, finely chopped red onion, and chopped fresh cilantro.

In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Pour the dressing over the chickpea mixture and toss well to combine.

Separate the lettuce leaves and wash them thoroughly.
