In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, water, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to make a smooth batter.

Heat oil in a pan.

Slice onion and tomato.

Dip onion and tomato slices in the batter and deep fry until golden brown.

Remove from oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.

Garnish with cilantro and drizzle lemon juice on top.
