Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Wash and scrub the potatoes. Pat them dry.

Cut thin slits into each potato, making sure not to cut all the way through.

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and brush them with the garlic-paprika oil mixture, making sure to get the oil into the slits.

Bake the potatoes for 40-45 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.

Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.
