Rinse the green split peas and soak them in water for 1 hour.

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté until fragrant.

Add curry powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Stir well to coat the spices.

Drain the soaked split peas and add them to the pot. Stir to combine.

Pour in vegetable stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until the split peas are tender.

Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender to puree until smooth.

Stir in coconut milk, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
