  1. In a mixing bowl, combine besan, curd, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, asafoetida, salt, and 1 tablespoon of oil. Mix well to form a smooth dough.
  2. Divide the dough into small cylindrical shapes (gatte).
  3. Boil water in a pan and add the gatte. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  4. Remove the gatte from water and let them cool. Cut them into small pieces.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and fry the gatte until golden brown.
  6. In the same pan, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  7. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.
  8. Add water and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Add the fried gatte and cook for another 5 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
