Peel and grate the potatoes. Place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out any excess moisture.

In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, chopped onion, all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Take a small portion of the potato mixture and shape it into a patty. Repeat with the remaining mixture.

Carefully place the patties in the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.

Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
