  1. Trim the ends of the green beans and wash them.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt.
  3. Add the green beans to the boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  4. Drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  5. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  6. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Add the cooked green beans to the skillet and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until they are heated through.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper.
  9. Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice.
  10. Serve hot as a side dish.
