Eggless Chocolate Cookies
Chocolate chip cookies were invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938 when she added chopped chocolate to a cookie recipe at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Scoop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them apart.

Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon.
