Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut, cocoa powder, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until the mixture is sticky and holds together.

Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture and shape it into small balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the macaroons are slightly firm to the touch.

Remove from the oven and let the macaroons cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
