Easy Chickpea Burgers
Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are one of the oldest cultivated crops. They have been consumed for thousands of years and are a staple ingredient in many cuisines around the world.

Drain and rinse the chickpeas in a colander.

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, bread crumbs, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Pulse until the mixture is well combined and holds together.

Shape the mixture into patties and place them on a baking sheet.

Refrigerate for 10 minutes to allow the burgers to firm up.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

Toast the hamburger buns and assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and ketchup.
