Easy Baked Indian Samosas
Samosas are believed to have originated in the Middle East and were introduced to India by traders during the Delhi Sultanate rule in the 13th century.
This is vegan recipe. Dish can be prepared in 50 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 13.

Boil the potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chili. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.

Add peas, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.

Add mashed potatoes and coriander leaves to the pan. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Take a phyllo pastry sheet, brush it with oil, and fold it into a triangle shape.

Fill the pastry triangle with the potato mixture and fold it further to seal the edges.

Repeat the process with the remaining pastry sheets and potato mixture.

Place the samosas on a baking sheet and brush them with oil.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
