  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Steam the green beans until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet, sauté the mushrooms, onion, and garlic until softened.
  4. In a blender, combine the cashews, vegetable broth, nutritional yeast, tamari sauce, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the green beans, mushroom mixture, and cashew sauce. Stir until well coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with crispy onions.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
  9. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
