Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Steam the green beans until tender, about 5 minutes.

In a large skillet, sauté the mushrooms, onion, and garlic until softened.

In a blender, combine the cashews, vegetable broth, nutritional yeast, tamari sauce, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

In a large bowl, combine the green beans, mushroom mixture, and cashew sauce. Stir until well coated.

Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove from the oven and top with crispy onions.

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
