Delicious Mapo Tofu
Mapo Tofu is a popular Sichuan dish known for its spicy and numbing flavor. It was named after a pockmarked (mapo) woman who created the dish in Chengdu, China.
This is vegan, gluten free and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 40 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Cut the tofu into small cubes and set aside.

Heat oil in a wok or pan over medium heat. Add the ground pork and cook until browned.

Add the garlic, ginger, Sichuan peppercorns, chili bean paste, and fermented black beans. Stir-fry for a minute until fragrant.

Add the tofu and stir gently to combine.

In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Pour the mixture into the wok and stir gently.

Cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with rice.
