Soak the yellow lentils in water for 2 hours.

Drain the lentils and grind them into a coarse paste.

Finely chop the onion, green chili, ginger, garlic, and cilantro.

In a mixing bowl, combine the lentil paste, chopped onion, green chili, ginger, garlic, cilantro, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.

Gradually add water to the mixture to make a thick batter.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan for frying.

Drop small portions of the lentil batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.

Remove the fried lentil balls from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
