Chickpea fritters, also known as falafel, are a popular street food in the Middle East and Mediterranean regions.

In a large bowl, mix chickpea flour, water, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, baking powder, and salt.

Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and flatten slightly with the back of the spoon.

Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove the fritters from the pan and drain on paper towels.

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or as desired.
