Peel and chop the carrots.

In a large pot, bring the vegetable broth to a boil.

In a blender or food processor, blend the carrots, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until smooth.

If needed, add some of the reserved cooking liquid to achieve the desired consistency.
