Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).

Pop the popcorn kernels and set aside.

In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until the mixture turns golden brown and reaches a temperature of 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and toss until evenly coated.

Spread the caramel-coated popcorn on a baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 30 minutes.

Once cooled, mix in the dried cranberries.
