Buddha’s Delight
Buddha’s Delight, also known as Luohan Zhai, is a popular vegetarian dish in Chinese Buddhist cuisine. It is believed to have been created by Buddhist monks as a way to practice vegetarianism and promote a peaceful and compassionate lifestyle.

Press and drain the tofu, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.

Slice the shiitake mushrooms, carrots, snow peas, and napa cabbage into thin strips.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 1 minute.

Add the tofu, shiitake mushrooms, carrots, snow peas, baby corn, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and green beans to the wok. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with vegetable broth until dissolved. Add the cornstarch mixture, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper to the wok. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serve Buddha's Delight hot with steamed rice.
