  2. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, water, and pandan leaves. Bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
  4. In a separate pot, heat the coconut milk, salt, and granulated sugar until it starts to boil.
  5. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little water and add it to the coconut milk mixture. Stir well.
  6. Continue cooking the coconut milk mixture until it thickens.
  7. Remove the pandan leaves from the cooked rice and pour the thickened coconut milk over the rice. Stir well to combine.
  8. Serve the Bubur Sum-Sum warm or chilled.
