  5. Add smoked paprika, cumin powder, bay leaves, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  6. Pour water into the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with rice or bread.
