  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add bitter gourd slices and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot. Mix well.
  8. Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  9. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
