  1. Soak the dried fava beans in water overnight.
  2. Drain the soaked fava beans and rinse them.
  3. In a large pot, add the fava beans and cover with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the beans are tender.
  4. Drain the cooked fava beans and let them cool slightly.
  5. In a food processor or blender, add the cooked fava beans, olive oil, garlic cloves, cumin, paprika, salt, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
  6. Transfer the puree to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley.
  7. Serve the bissara warm or at room temperature with bread or vegetables.
