Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Peel and trim the carrots, then cut them into long, thin strips.

Trim the fennel bulb and cut it into thin slices.

In a large bowl, combine the carrots, fennel, olive oil, berbere spice blend, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the vegetables evenly.

Spread the vegetables in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and slightly caramelized.

Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
