Soak the kidney beans and black beans overnight in water.

Drain and rinse the soaked beans.

In a large pot, add the beans, tofu, carrots, potatoes, onion, garlic, ginger, vegetable broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.

Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
